No time to write, so here are a few pictures

I have been incredibility busy the past couple of weeks and am having to write so much stuff that I haven’t been able to do much here—except for a poem on Thursday. The first part of this week also looks busy. Hopefully by the end of the week I can spend time working on some more stories and tales to share with you. Until then, I thought I’d share a few photographs. This past Tuesday morning, when I shot the photo of this tree, it was real foggy. With the sun behind it, it created a nice mysterious feeling.

I also saw the reflections of this church’s steeple in a puddle beside the road and stopped and shot these photographs. I don’t know anything about this church. I don’t even know anyone who attends here. The sign says it’s an “Apostolic Tabernacle,” which sounds like foreign territory for a Presbyterian, but I had to stop. The reflections brought a smile to my face and gave me a few moments of calm during a busy week.

In case you wondering, I did have to “flip” the reflection picture to get them “right side up” for presentation.

  2. This entry has a 'Tim Rice' kind of feel to it. Do you always carry your camera around with you?

  3. Jaded, I'm humbled with your comparison to Monet

Murf, I don't always have my camera, but I often do!

  6. I would have loved to be one of the people that must've driven by and wondered who the wacko is taking pictures of a puddle but then again, this same hamlet has a couple of people who walk around pushing grocery carts full of mufflers on Sunday mornings so you probably do fit in. :-)

  10. My week and possibly the next just got very busy. With the strike, I'm not on the floor doing all the jobs that I've been seeing others do for the last four years. Fortunately, I spent a lot of time improving the ease of which they could do their job. However, after working for the last nine hours like a dog, I don't feel like I'm reaping my reward.

Nice pictures. I'm a big fan of fog pictures.

Kenju, I wish I had removed the twig from the last one

Murf, are you dissing my hamlet? At least we don't have mufflers laying around on the street anymore

Thanks Pat, Pia (the two p's?) & Laurie

  12. Ever the optimist, aren't ya? I still wonder where they took them. There must be money to be made in old mufflers. They could be on to something.

  13. There's a metal recycling place at the end of town, I'm sure I know the family you saw, they're really nice folks, they go around collecting junk and selling it, not the life I'd chose, but I'm not going to judge either

  14. The second photo reminded me of Dali's painting. I do not why but it did. It had that surrealistic effect on me.

I always like the photographs taken and posted by you here.

  16. That first one is very similiar to a fog print I did from the Smokey Mtns and I actually won in a b&w photo competition with it. I love trees and the contrast of fog...excellent choice! All of them are good. I know what you mean about being to busy to blog...If I post I don't have time to visit or vice versa. I think I am going to start limiting mine to 3 a week so my life can not be so hectic.

    Good luck balancing yours!
