Photos of today's hike

I spent some time today exploring a section of the North Country Trail (when completed it will run from Upstate New York to North Dakota and be the longest trail in America coming in a little over 4000 miles. The trail follows the Kalamazoo River for a ways. I love the colors of the flowers. Below is a pink honeysuckle. Enjoy the photos, I don't feel like writing today.

  2. I don't think I've seen any color of honeysuckle before but I love that scent in shower gels and candles. You should use the last picture as the front cover of your autobiography.

  7. Mistress, yes, it's a beautiful day here too

Murf, Honeysuckle is normally yellow and very fragrant and I can't imagine you having never seen it, it's very common

Diane, Nikki-Ann, Lady of the Hills, and V: thanks!

  13. Since my comment of yesterday, I've been thinking of prospective titles for your autobiography. I think I may have to do an entry dedicated to the ones that I've come up with. :-)

  14. What gorgeous pictures :-)

In answer to your question on my blog - the chaps like to do the military re-enactment with big swords and cool fights, the living history element (life as it was lived) is mostly done by the women.

I am posting some insights on re-enactment on my blog over the next few days on the run-up to our annual trip to Italy.
