Things must be bad… I had a meeting this morning at a local bank. Before we started, the guy from the bank who was hosting the meeting invited us into the kitchenette, just off the boardroom, for refreshments. They had two pots of coffee and they were both decaf!!! It’s not a good sign when they don’t have real coffee in a bank. It must mean the bankers aren’t having any problems staying awake.
I’m looking at my calendar and the next two weeks are booked. I’ll try to occasionally post and get around to folks blogs, but it might not be as regular as I’d like.
Unleaded coffee? Pointless. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up. I was thinking of doing another drive by soon.
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteI shouldn't laugh... I work with financial institutions daily so the state of the economy is very much a real problem in my mind. Still though... it was funny :)
Ilex Vomitoria. Maybe, they put that stuff in their tanks.
ReplyDeleteSo you are gomnna be busy. Take it easy!!
ReplyDeleteAfter a busy week of evaluation of answer sheets, we are gonna have autumn break from Oct 1-10. I am looking forward to it.
If you're that busy, you need some real coffee!
ReplyDeleteNo coffee at a bank meeting?? How did YOU manage to stay awake??
ReplyDeleteThat was very funny and I live in New York where laughter is a rare and precious commidity these days
ReplyDeleteHope to be closing soon, and be back in North Myrtle which is beginning to feel a lot like home
I read many pages of the Green Ghosts twice, sometimes 3 times or more, just to be absorbed by the beauty of his writing.
ReplyDeleteHave you read Evelyn Waugh? Gosh I hate literature, that reminds me of school and the endless exams, but Pascal apparently loved this writer and wrote such a beautiful para on his work, I could almost see myself picking up literature again. Oh, that may be a bad idea...
I can certainly relate to being busy and not having time to read or write blogs. Try to find time to relax and enjoy a real cup of coffee. Regards -
ReplyDeleteI went to the gas station last night and all they had was regular unleaded. No mid-grade or super unleaded.
ReplyDeleteOf course, I've always wondered, with the price of regular unleaded at $4 a gallon, who in the world voluntarily splurges for the super unleaded?
Probably recommended by their doctor to keep their blood pressure down :0)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope they don't cut back on the candy at my local Bank of America.
ReplyDeleteHey ya'll... in my local coffee shop there is a picture of a wild looking man clutching his coffee cup... the caption reads, "Death before decaf"
ReplyDeleteMurf, is that a warning?
Scarlet, it wasn't a "bank meeting," but an investment committee meeting for an organization of which I'm a member
MH: I've not read Waugh--she's on my list though
Diane, don't forget the dogtreats (I could care less for the suckers)
Yes, it's a warning. :-)
ReplyDeleteI know the "booked-up" feeling at the moment.
ReplyDeleteCheers.
Well Sage..I guess they decided to snore throughout the meeting..I would say having decaf coffee during a meeting, is to decaf the meeting itself:).
ReplyDeleteHave a good couple of weeks. We'll still be here. :)
ReplyDeletesage -dog treats are always key! My branch upgraded from suckers to yummy caramels.
ReplyDeleteMichigan is getting the worst of the foreclosures...I know my bank isn't doing well either and that scares me.
ReplyDeletelove your title photo - the traintracks through the sage hills. frameable!
