Moon setting over Tahoe

I am having to endure sitting in a conference room for 6-8 hours a day this week, looking out at Lake Tahoe. I was up early this morning and took this photo of the nearly full waning moon setting behind the Sierras.  This is a lovely place!  (I only wonder why I didn't pack a 300 mm lens.) On, and the internet isn't very good, but that's okay because when I'm not in meetings, I want to be outside and without a computer...  So, it may take me a while to catch up with everyone.  But I will!  And now the lecturer is staring at me as I think he realizes I'm not taking notes...  Be good.  Bye!

  1. Oh my.. with such beautiful scenery as that, it must kill you to be stuck inside. Enjoy it while you can.

  2. My cousins had a mural of that lake along one wall of their living-room. I'm not 1000&% certain why, but I seem to remember someone saying they went on honeymoon there from Chicago in the early 60s.

    Lovely shot.

Switch on the recording app on the phone. Blooming remarkable what they can pick up and how clear too.

    1. Have you seen this http://www.pasthorizonspr.com/index.php/archives/07/2013/oldest-inland-european-fort-found-in-appalachians

  3. I've been there only once, but I often review my photos from a place I too must explore with a camera of today. Enjoy your learning experience and note taking, and grab what outdoor beauty you can! Can't wait to see more photos!

  4. Oh my - I know you'd rather be outside! Lovely shot there.

  5. This is great scenery!

  6. Ha! How could you possibly concentrate on a lecture when there's such a beautiful view outside? Love the picture!

  7. at least you have the view right...ugh...i have sat in those...not much fun...ha...i would want to be outside as well...

  8. Far too much development, but Lake Tahoe is still a beautiful place.
I know how it felt in class. I felt that way from the day I started until the day I stopped going.
