I’m down in the Carolinas, flying to Myrtle Beach late on
Easter afternoon and spending a few days in Pawleys Island before heading up
to the Wilmington area. My first morning
here, I woke up with a weird dream. I
was with a bunch of people, who thankfully I couldn’t recognize or recall when
I work. But it was some kind of outdoor
picnic/party and we were playing those silly party games that I absolutely hate. In one, we had to squat and hold our ankles
and lean over and eat nuts out of a plate in front us like a bird. Only in a dream was I able to do this and not
fall forward on my head. I did this and
then the person who was calling out directions said that after a bird eats, it
has to poop, at which time I let go of my hand and acted as if I was catching
the “poop” and then stood up and walked over to a Cadillac Escalade (a Cadillac
truck) and pretended to wipe it on the window saying that it was too good of a
poop to waste. The only part of this
dream that made any sense was the Cadillac for on Sunday afternoon as a friend
was driving me to the airport, we were passed by a Cadillac truck and we both,
at the same time, made comments about who in the world buys a Cadillac that’s a
truck, for it isn’t the type of vehicle that one would use to haul lumber or
firewood.
Today was a good day as I got to watch the sun rise over the Atlantic and set behind the Waccamaw River.

Gorgeous. I love the Carolinas.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos. Weird dreams.
ReplyDeletehahahaha too good of a poop to waste...lol...maybe you should decide whose car to target as well...smiles.....lol...have fun in the carolinas....some of my fav places down there...
ReplyDeleteCadillacs were once good for hauling old poops! These days though they haul much younger poops!
ReplyDeleteGet yourself some ginger root. slice about a finger's length into coin sized sections. Into a half filled jug of fridge water and blitz. Once done top up the jug and pour of through a tea sieve. Poof goes the dreams. ReplyDeleteSorry I had to step out.
DeleteTruly lovely sunrise and sunset.
This is beautiful! So happy you posted this! After reading about your dream, I'm thinking it was better than some movies I've paid to see! I hope (but just know) you'll have a great time where you're going. Share some cool photos and stories, or even dreams later! Peace, Karen!
ReplyDeleteI don't care for those party games either, not even in my dreams.
ReplyDeleteSome dream. What did you eat that night?
ReplyDeleteWow - interesting dream. Wonder what it means? I'm glad you are having a great time.
ReplyDeleteMuch better than my dream last night. I seldom have nightmares that really trouble me, but last night's did. Glad your dream was better
ReplyDeleteI was just looking on the Bing maps. There really is one big long city from D.C to Key West. I'd somehow assumed there was only a few clusters like Myrtle and a couple of places in Florida. But with the exception of bases and a few national and state parks it really is one long narrow city with one main street. And an unconscionable volume of golf courses. You'd think the US would be better at it :-).
ReplyDeleteI am cackling at that dream, Sage. (Much like a hen, ironically.)
ReplyDeleteI've wondered the same thing before about those trucks.
If I dream about you at any time, I'm turning around and walking (or driving) in the opposite direction. :) Sounds truly strange. Lovely sunset images though.
