It's going to be a hot one today, but in an hour I'm meeting folks for a paddle to Wassaw Island. Here are a few photos from my new home. Interestingly, with the moving van, the two pair of skis I kept came off first (I did get rid of two pair, but figure I will be make a sojourn back to snow country during the winter... |
Moving van arrives in Savannah |
The sailing is on the Wilmington River. Unfortunately, we were third in this race. The boat was a Rhodes 19.
I don't think one could make up a better name for a street.
Evening at Delegal Creek with the tide running out...

ReplyDeleteoh it looks like a beautiful evening....
ReplyDeletethe sight of that truck...oy...loading and unloading...
not the fun parts...smiles.
I love the name of the street! :) What a beautiful place. I miss those evening paddles. Be well and enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHope you are settling into your new home nicely. I'm sure you are busy busy busy.
ReplyDeleteSo long jeff, sorry to lose all the taxes you paid to Uncle Ricky.
ReplyDeleteDo love that road name.
ReplyDeletePS:
ReplyDeleteI lived in Georgia in the 1960 ... Gainesville. They've had some dry years since then but when I was in college there it poured rain every single day. Georgia taught me everything I ever needed to know about tornados and humidity. Also what Spring should look like everywhere with the Dogwoods in bloom!
Hope you enjoy Savannah! I haven't yet been there, but I've heard it's nice. (I'm in Atlanta.)
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if you have moved to an enchanting place! Lovely.
ReplyDeleteWe on these islands really don't get the distances you move at will. We move right enough, to Spain, Italy and sometimes Greece. But it would be easier to move to New Zealand or Australia.
ReplyDeleteHappy warm days.
I guess sane possums don't get roads named after them. A pity. I've known some remarkable ones.
ReplyDeleteNice photos! Seeing that moving truck, reminds of all the hard work involved with packing, moving and unpacking.
ReplyDeleteSage: I am a slacker and always have moving guys load and unload me. I looked at this photo and hoped the same was true on your end. Glad you arrived safely. Let the new adventure begin!
ReplyDeleteOh lovely pics. Best of luck to you in your new digs.
ReplyDeleteJust checking in since I missed so many posts while I was in South Dakota. Lovely pictures, especially that street! I don't envy you unpacking all that stuff though, good luck with it all.
