Lately it seems that what I need to write for work has been more than enough and I haven't been doing much blogging. I keep thinking I'll get my muse back, but it just ain't happening. But I am still around, occasionally, and here's some photos to prove it.
Last Thursday we received a wonderful snowstorm and Friday I was out at Yankee Springs skiing along the North Country trail... The storm cleared out in the morning, by the afternoon it was beautiful.
It seems my favorite travel is on two-tracks: trains, back roads, and ski trails...
Unfortunately, we had some rain and warmer temperatures and there isn't enough snow to ski on tomorrow, when I am off....

oh man...sad you had nice snow but its gone by the time you got off to enjoy it...we might get some snow tomorrow from what i heard...
ReplyDeleteOh that looks magnificent.
ReplyDeleteYou might need to get levels checked if you are losing pizzazz. I've read that pancreas issues has an deleterious effect of the liver also. Ever thought of as visit to a Chinese practitioner. Their system is big into shallow slopes and balance. You'd never know a tonic might help vent things.
Rather that snow over there than here..we maxed at about 3 inches in the city. sorry though because when it comes to that we are opposites Jeff, I would have enjoyed the melt while you the snow...
ReplyDeleteGood exercise, I imagine. I doubt I'd make a hundred yards.
ReplyDeleteDid a lot of cross country skiing and snowshoeing last year, but haven't made it out ONCE yet this year. As spring seems to be practically looming already, it's looking grim . . . but next year will be different. I love it.
ReplyDeleteOne of the great things about the midwest is the CC skiing. We have a nice park within a mile that makes winters in Minnesota bearable. Unfortunately, not quite enough snow this winter.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos. I like snow...as long as it is in photos and not near me...lol We may be getting some tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteI love the sun on the snow. I rarely get to see it, so thank you for sharing these lovely photos.
ReplyDeleteWe sure are experiencing winter this year! I'm always so happy to see your visits and your posts, and I too know how life gets in the way of our blogging- but I know I'm here to catch your visits when ever I can! Enjoy your weekend! I'm thinking SPRING!
ReplyDeleteThe trails looks so inviting and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteLooks lovely and much like we've had here.. including the warmer melts. Pretty pics, J.
ReplyDeleteHi Sage: No worries. Inspiration to blog will return when you have the energy. It takes great endurance to move about on the ski's!
ReplyDeleteI really think I would love cross country skiing and I'm positive I love the bottom picture. Understand on the life getting in the way of blogging. It isn't that I don't enjoy it or that I have nothing to say...sometimes sleep wins or other responsibilities are more pressing.
ReplyDeleteIt took me over a year to find inspiration with a new project. Hope you get enough snow for skiing and find your muse soon.
ReplyDeleteThere really should be an arrow on that pole pointing to the nearest medical center, for people like me.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the snow pictures with those of us who never get any.
