It's a way of life so different from that of my ancestors. There are many descendants of slaves in Nova Scotia. On a side note, I figure we only have a decade before McClellanville merges with Charleston. The urban sprawl moves fast these days. Based solely on the mansions and grounds, they all seem so serene, beautiful, and civilized. It isn't until you get to the slave quarters, and/or learn about the slaves that lived on the property, that you realize how it REALLY was there. Then those mansions become monuments to man's inhumanity to his fellow man. All that wealth, and good living, created by "owned" people, that weren't even considered human by many of those living in those mansions. These places make me sad.Pat Tilletthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17699973774273291205noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9454941.post-78811855772059438232017-09-17T15:14:09.049-04:002017-09-17T15:14:09.049-04:00Interesting about the estate. They seem to seed off Cape Verde and take a very flat tack north and east. But the Coriolis Effect suggests they should curl towards Europe long before they begin shaking up all that money in those Tax Havens, never mind bothering you at all.
